We Have a Truck Coming, but No Warehouse Dock!
We had a dry-van truck coming to pick up an extra-long pallet. We were able to use our GT26 Yard Ramp to quickly load the pallet and get the truck on the road!
When the driver arrived at our warehouse, we realized we had two problems:
We didn’t have warehouse dock to quickly load the dry-van.
We wouldn’t be able to load the extra long pallet without getting into the semi truck.
Luckily, we killed two birds with one stone by using the GT26 Loading Ramp. Here is how we did it:
We had already placed the yard ramp into place, so the truck just needed to back in and align with the ramp. If you need to move the ramp into a specific place, you can find how to do that here!
The loading ramp platform was a little short, so we had to make some quick adjustments to line up with the trailer. The hand-crank has 12” of range, so you can make final touches if the height isn’t just right.
Once we got the height perfect, we dropped the transition plate. This plate ensures a safe transition from the forklift ramp to the trailer.
The ramp was finally ready to go, and we had no trouble getting the forklift and load up!
